Studio Sidika | Viewing Room

BRIEF | Between 120 and 155 cm wide to be places above a console. Hieght not an issue as ceilings are very high.

Budget is £6-7k.

Colourful, bold or pastel coloured abstract expressionist piece.

Eleanor May Watson

I have included a selection of available original print (please see example display at Woolwich Contemporary 2022)

I have also included some very crude phone photographs of pieces not yet photographed ore released yet which I took at a studio visit last week. She is currently away but will shoot this weekend. I haven’t included the 185 x 125cm pieces (same size at Eye of the Collector) as they are £11-12k each.

Johanna Muriel

We also run Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair which is a go-to for interior designers, corporate collections and so on for high end original print. I asked a few of our upcoming exhibitors for available pieces. Johanna’s are completely beautiful but not big - so a collection of 4 framed would fit your size brief. Each are watercolour monotypes (Eleanor May Watson works a lot in this medium) at 51 x 38cm each and are currently unframed at £695 each mounted on an off-white board.

Tamsin Relly

Tamsin’s pieces are completely glorious. Focus on nature. Again, watercolour monotypes and paintings on gorgeous surfaces like aluminium which make them exceptional objects themselves. Again, they aren’t large so a collection of 2 or 4 would work in the console space.

Misa Gott

Both these pieces are glorius and sit on the calico like paintings on canvas. I’d recommend getting them framed to finish off the presentation and make them pop. I’d pop the price up as we sell out very quickly at the fair of her pieces, but she is keen to keep accible at this time.

Frames I would anticipate c. £450-500 +VAT for a tray frame in solid wood

Tanaka Mazivanhanga

I’ve shown Tanaka a number of times with Brocket, Woolwich Contemporary and for Mayfair Art Weekend. Her stories through her large scale monoprints and installations are wonderful but she does’t have anything that fits the brief currently. As you mentioned her specifically, I have added what she does have available and a much smaller work is coming to the Fair in October. She has also created some limited edtion fabric here if you would like to intergrate this into your projects at all.

Danielle Alma Selma

Danielle has just graduated from her MA at the RCA. She has a site specific installation recently in Notting Hill as part of the Notting Hill Carnival. Her work sits beautifully in residential projects. She has sent me what is available from the studio that is pastels/larger
