Woolwich Print Fair

20.10.17 - 23.10.17

Curated by Brocket Gallery London in collaboration with Berkeley Homes, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair will sell original prints alongside demonstrations, interactive displays, artist tours and advice on starting an art collection.

With over 70 specialist artists and exhibitors, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair will be the only print fair in London to deal solely in contemporary printmaking. It will draw on a rich historic relationship between the arts and old or abandoned military buildings. Venice uses the city's own Arsenale during their art Biennale and the Royal Arsenal will provide a similar extraordinary setting for a fair which is set to grow in size, ambition and popularity over the coming years.

The central London gallery, which specialises in supporting early to mid-career artists, is working with the capital’s most prominent developer Berkeley Homes, to create a new cultural venue at the Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. They plan to bring accessible and dynamic works of art to one of the capital’s hottest emerging districts. When Crossrail opens in 2018, Woolwich will be just 20 minutes from Bond Street.

The concept behind this venture is to celebrate every aspect of printmaking - from etching and lithography, to woodblock and screen-printing. Emerging artistic talent will sit alongside established practitioners with an incredible range of prints for sale and exhibitors with an unsurpassed knowledge of their craft. There will be prices to suit all pockets and original prints that appeal to both longstanding collectors and people looking to buy their first original artwork. Interactive demonstrations will also offer visitors the chance to learn about the practice of printmaking and what to look for when starting to build their own collection.

Framing advice and onsite services will be available at a special discounted rate for the duration of the fair.
