4 Weeks: 4 Artists
Brocket Gallery London presents its vibrant summer installation programme at their Kennington project space. Showcasing four innovative early-career artists on subsequent weeks through the month of August, Summer Scoops is the first of what aims to be an annual summer series to more intimately engage with some of their gallery artists.
Selected artists include Helena Crabtree, Jack Predergast and Kurdish sculptor, Roshna Qorbannee, whose 5000 Objects for 5000 Dead Bodies was installed as part of Brocket’s Raw Stories exhibition, 2015. The thought-provoking work represents the memories of her childhood following a chemical attack in the town of Halabja, Northern Iraq and the death of five-thousand Kurdish people, 16 March 1988.
In an exciting collaboration with art partnership consultancy ELX, Brocket are happy to announce that the fourth artist will be Sophie Mason. Sophie is a multi media artist who is represented by ELX – her work commonly explores connections between people and the natural world.
